Measuring Up

A couple days ago, dad finally got to work on our new kitchen table. We've been eating in the living room watching TV during dinner before, then we started sitting down like a family at the kitchen table. Dad moved out our old table when the guys came to install the new windows. For a week we didn't have a table, and were back in the living room watching TV. This past Saturday Dad hid away in the garage while mom took Jenna and I to Grandma's house. Dad called later in the afternoon and said it wasn't going well (he was fibbing of course). When we got home that table was almost complete. He'd built and tiled it already.

After a quick trip to Home Depot (my favorite Store) Mom picked out some molding that she liked. On Sunday morning dad and I installed it.

Dad had some problems with the saw, so I had to step in and help out. Jenna wanted to use the electric brad nailer, but that's too dangerous for a girl.

Dad and I finished up and I had to double check some of his measurements, Measure Twice, Cut Once as I always say.

Watch where you put that thing

Well today was the day, we knew we were headed to see the doctor, for the second time this week, but Mom & Dad said it was for a follow up. The waiting room was packed, so we didn't get to play with any of the toys Doc Evans keeps there. We waited until they called our name and went back to the room with Mom & Dad. We both realized pretty quick what was going on. While Mom & Dad explained Jenna's recently dianogised disease, Jenna and I tried to silently leave the room. Well that didn't work, and Jabob ended up getting his shot first. As he was sitting on Mom's lap, Jenna expalined to Dad that she didn't want a shot, if only it was that easy. Both got their Flu shots, then waited the required toime in the waiting room, then headed down to the van to finish the juice boxes and apples that we got before the doctors appointment. We were both very brave and didn't cry at all, not really sure what had us scared to begin with.

Happy Halloween ( CANDY )

We just wanted to let everyone know that on Halloween we both won costume contest.
Jacob was a Thomas train, and I was a butterfly princess. Then on Halloween night we got a ton of candy we're still working on it.
