Here vs There

Here's a quick look at the weather forecast over the next couple days in Cleveland versus what the weather will be like in Suffolk.

Not that much of a difference except on Saturday and Wednesday. We'll be coming back on Thursday from 80 degree temp's to 62 degree temp's.

Virginia Bound

Hopefully at this time tomorrow morning, we'll be in the great state of Virginia. It all depends on how well dad does driving. Mom, Jenna and I will probably sleep most of the way, unless we need to take a potty break. Dad is hoping by 10:00 am we're getting close to the Suffolk area.

According to all of the online maps/driving directions sites, it's 548 miles door to door. What is different between all of those is the time, one has it at 8 hours 52 minutes, another has it at 10 hours 3 minutes, yet another has it at 9 hours 30 minutes. Dad uses MapSource for the route that he loads into his GPS, anf MapsSource has it at 7 hours 38 minutes (which is about a 75 miles an hour average) Since this is the same route we took last year, we've found a couple Geocaches along the way, so we don't need to stop this time. It should be a straight shot for us.

Teenage Mutant Ninja.......

Nah, it's just a regular Turtle.

Uncle Ron got a turtle from FreeCycle, which is a community board where people post stuff they have for free that they want to give away. So he picked the turtle up from the people and I guess it was kinda out our way, so he stopped over and let us visit with the turtle. I dashed right over and was petting the turtle on his shell, Jacob, on the other hand, wouldn't get close to it at first. Eventually he came over and touched the shell (Way to go Brother) The turtle liked dandilions, so we picked a few and gave those to him (or her, not sure cause we didn't look under it's shell).

Dad said Uncle Ron could leave the turtle so it could eat the rest of the weeds we have in the front yard, but the turtle didn't move much, just kept eating the grass right in front of it.

After the turtle ate all the grass in one spot, it was time for the turtle to go to it's new home at Uncle Ron's house.
